Restoration Line - Silicate Paints

Silicate paints have a long service life and resistance to weather influences. They remain permeable to water vapour, thus ensuring ventilation at different temperatures.

This makes them ideal for restoring historic buildings and monuments.

Generally, they are suitable for both old and new buildings, both indoors and outdoors.

Compared to dispersion paints, the degree of soiling of silicate paint is significantly less, as painted surfaces do not have electrostatic charges and dirt does not adhere to them.

Advantages of this product:

- With mineral content, it is very resistant and non-flammable;

- Strong adhesion to the base;

- High permeability to water vapor;

- Reduced degree of dirt;

- Solidification of sandy surfaces decomposed by atmospheric action;

- Resistant to washing, weather conditions, and chemicals;

- Excellent color stability;

- Cleans autonomously and is environmentally friendly;

- High resistance in anti-mold;

- Fungicide and antibacterial effect due to alkalinity;

- Fast drying between coats;

- Extremely durable.

Incombustibility:

Unlike acrylic paints, silicate paints do not burn. In case of fire, they avoid the emission of toxic gases, in addition to increasing the protection of the plaster against damage caused by the flames.

Coverage:

Due to its high concentration, silicate paint covers small fissures and cracks resulting from expansion or contraction of the plaster, in addition to achieving an excellent finish using only two coats, even on exposed block walls.

Durability:

Due to its mineral composition, Silicate paint has high resistance to pollution, dirt, salt spray, and acid rain; protecting it from the aggressive gases of the atmosphere. The use of inorganic pigments provides greater color durability, even in severe climates or under direct sunlight (UV resistance). The use of organic pigments is recommended for indoor paintings.

Ecological:

Natural raw materials form the basis of silicate paints, which are abundant in the earth's crust. The obtaining process causes a low environmental impact. In this line, you will not find solvents or products that are harmful to the environment, from production to application, or in the disposal of packaging. Its long durability reduces the number of repaintings, reducing the removal of raw materials from nature.
